RVA Financial FCU Awards In-house Credit Processing To CO-OP Financial Services

Credit Union Cites CO-OP’s Strategic Focus on Delivering Enhanced Digital Experiences

- RANCHO CUCAMONGA, California – RVA Financial FCU has expanded its partnership with CO-OP Financial Services to perform In-House Credit services, in addition to re-signing with the company to provide Debit and PIN processing and ATM Terminal Driving.

“RVA Financial was looking for a provider to help elevate our entire cards program,” said Rick Preble, President/CEO of the Richmond, Virginia-based institution (www.rvafinancial.com). “We were looking to have both the debit card and credit card portfolios under one relationship. We want to make it easy for both members and staff; and moving everything to one provider gives us additional control and features.

“CO-OP provided a much more clear strategic alignment and focus on delivering enhanced digital experiences than the other processors we looked at,” said Preble. “In addition, CO-OP did a much better job of getting to understand RVA Financial. CO-OP spent time discussing both our strategic plan and how CO-OP could help us achieve it. We feel a true level of partnership with CO-OP and confidence we are mutually working for the benefit of our members.

“We look forward to working with CO-OP to help us enhance our digital experiences and the member experience in general, in addition to helping our staff serve our members better,” said Preble.

CO-OP Debit and In-House Credit processing enable credit unions to easily add the competitive, benefit-rich payments products members expect. In-House Credit lets credit unions maintain control over back office operations, while card fulfillment, cardholder benefits, security, loyalty programs and data analytics tools make the CO-OP offering a comprehensive processing solution.

RVA Financial was founded in 1950 and has more than 13,000 members. In 2017, in a move to return to its roots and serve Richmond, Virginia, the credit union adopted its current name.

“RVA Financial’s recent history has included key decisions about its focus and how it can best serve its members,” said Matt Kardell, Chief Revenue Officer for CO-OP. “CO-OP is proud to be part of that focus, particularly as we partner to deliver digital solutions and lift the daily payments experience for members.”
